Borders campus open days 2020

Our Borders campus open days are on:

  • Friday 3 July – online only
  • Friday 2 October
  • Friday 6 November

Please note our July open day will now be an online event because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, we still hope to go ahead with our October and November open days on campus depending on the situation nearer the time.

Please check back here over the coming weeks for more information.

In the meantime, you may find our online chats and virtual offer holder days of interest.

What happens at our open days

An open day allows you to immerse yourself in the university experience and discover more about the subject you are interested in studying.

You can meet with staff and students to find out how we teach at Heriot-Watt, and explore our campus to get a feel for what student life here has to offer. You don't have to come alone either - you can bring up to five guests with you.

Our campus will be buzzing with activities and events and it’s your chance to find out as much as you can about Heriot-Watt University, alongside people who may even become some of your closest friends during your studies here. Open days run from 10am to 4pm.

Individual visits

Throughout the year, you can arrange an individual visit to the campus where we will give you a guided tour and let you see our campus facilities. Contact studentrecruitment@hw.ac.uk to arrange an individual visit.

Interview and offer holder days

All short-listed UCAS applicants for September 2020 entry who have applied for a portfolio bearing degree will be invited to attend an interview at the School and discuss your portfolio with academics. Read our portfolio guidelines.

We hold interviews in January and February, and this is another chance to speak to current students, see the campus and accommodation and raise any questions you have with our staff.
