About
We have developed our core strategy around extending our research community and its cross disciplinary engagement through our central initiatives. We plan to grow our research and develop the school as an International Creative Hub, where design meets technology.
In doing so, we will lead on new strategic research collaborations through national and international academic networks and industrial partnerships. Through this we will continue to explore new materials and processes, playing a pivotal role in research, scholarships, innovation and knowledge transfer.
About our Research
"Our Researchers work on a number of Design topics including: Advanced Flexible Materials, Medical Textiles, Technologies for sustainable materials and fashion, Heritage, Design for net-zero. New areas of focus include: digital design for immersive environments and web based tools to support the cultural and creative industries In collaboration with industrial partners we are developing new technologies and testing new materials. Our work is highlighted across this site and explores our upcoming projects. "
