Shape your future in Edinburgh

Life in Edinburgh

A vibrant nightlife, eclectic food scene, designer retailers, beaches, mountains and plenty of green space – Edinburgh has it all. It’s a safe and friendly city and a great place to be a student.

Edinburgh is 1st in the UK for culture (Time Out 2023) and the 2nd most student-friendly city in the UK (QS Best Student Cities 2024). It is home to the world’s largest arts festivals, like the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Edinburgh International Festival, as well as lots of free museums and art galleries.

If you need some time out, you can wander through the Meadows, climb Arthur’s Seat or head to the beach – Edinburgh is really near the coast and has its own beach just a short bus ride from the city centre.
