About our research

The Centre for the Transformation of Work (CTW) is home to some of the world’s leading researchers who are reshaping the world of work. Anchored in interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration, CTW's mission is to advance theoretical understanding of the work and workplaces, while addressing the needs of industry, governments, and civil society organisations.

Socially Responsible and Accountable Organisations

Sustainable Working Lives

Our Key Projects
Professor Kate Sang
"Work and employment are central to societal well-being, yet persistent inequalities remain. CTW addresses these challenges by partnering with diverse stakeholders—from employers and trade unions to policymakers and civil society organisations—to co-create solutions."

Our engagement and impact

The centre prioritises public engagement through seminars, debates, and outreach activities. By fostering dialogue among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers, CTW amplifies its impact on contemporary and future work issues. The centre has worked with employers, trade unions, learned societies and governmental bodies to change working practices and the organisation of work to create fairer and more equitable employment.

By embedding equity, accountability, and sustainability into its operations, research, and engagement, CTW is poised to transform work and employment in ways that empower individuals, organisations, and societies.
